Jake grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. From there, he went on to attend Hampden-Sydney College and earned a spot on the Menís Tennis Team, before concluding his undergraduate studies at George Mason University, earning a B.A. in Economics. After graduation Jake worked for a local bank, where he gained valuable experience in a corporate setting, and also coached tennis at Episcopal High School. Long motivated by a desire to help people, Jake was drawn to the Lowcountry where he enrolled in the Charleston School of Law, where he was on the editorial staff of the Federal Courts Law Review, a member of the Charleston Law Review and earned the CALI award in Conflict of Laws. Jake understands the importance of being involved in the community and is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and is a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament. When not advancing the rights of his clients, Jake loves to spend time with family and friends. He lives with his wife and two children in West Ashley and enjoys the outdoors, sports, music, cooking, traveling, and experiencing life in the Lowcountry.
