Matthew King was born in Dillon, South Carolina and raised in Lake View, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Francis Marion University.
He moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his law degree, earning his Juris Doctor from Emory Law School, and is admitted to practice in South Carolina.
Outside the office, Matthew enjoys running, going to the gym, exploring downtown Charleston, and spending time with his dog, Tali.
